From a Note I posted on 2/26/25: Alt National Park Service is lighting the fire ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥with this beautiful reminder from the late great Jon Lewis!
I keep wondering what it’s going to look like. The revolution that is. We’ve been the people in the streets, it’s a yearly occurrence for the most part. And here we are - a protester has been arrested and is currently sitting in jail for using his freedom of speech (Mahmoud Khalil).
Shits changed alright, but in the way wrong direction.
So, what’s it going to take? What’s the real red line?
Is it a detainment camp? Because that’s here, happening right now.
Is it the stripping down of rights? Because that’s here, that’s happening right now.
Is it the absolute abolishing of all the mechanisms that kept us functional? Because that’s happening right now- as I type this the Dept of Education is being destroyed.
Is it the erasure of the LGBTQIA+ community? Because that’s exactly what they are trying to do.
Is it the silencing of all of us dissenters? Because that’s a real possibility.
Is it death? Who’s specifically because plenty of people are dying.
What red line will be the line where people will finally say enough is enough.

I keep hearing that we should just keep pushing our representatives to do something about everything that’s happening. I keep hearing that if we just keep calling and emailing them that it’ll force them to act. And I think to myself- this is a joke right? We have a coup literally taking place right before our eyes and you want me to make a phone call. You want me to report something on a website.
Project 2025 was a known plan for a few years now. And the best you came up with was “well we can build a website for you to complain on.” And you somehow want me to think that is the answer. That is them “fighting back”.
I’m a tiny person with no real power to speak of, just my words on a screen that go out into the interwebs. I am under no illusion that a phone call or email to my representatives will make a big difference. Not for the constitutional crisis that is currently underway.
Kudos to the judges trying to stop things, but when you’re up against a government who no longer cares about the law, I mean… “A” for effort, really.
I have to wonder though, if people weren’t making calls would all these representatives just sit down and let it all happen?
Why does it take US to call attention to our elected officials?
They don’t see it?
That’s scary as hell.
Now that the times are here and we’re really getting closer to the thick of it, I did not think it would look like…this. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised. Really.
I think this revolution won’t be televised. But I also agree with Kendrick Lamar. We picked the right time and most definitely the wrong guy.
Revolution is always an inside job anyway.
What will you stand for? Who will you stand for?

“While some people think that dissent is unpatriotic, I would argue that dissent is the highest form of patriotism. In fact, if patriotism means being true to the principles for which your country is supposed to stand, then certainly the right to dissent is one of those principles. And if we’re exercising that right to dissent, it’s a patriotic act.” - Howard Zinn (Dissent In Pursuit Of Equality, Life, Liberty And Happiness, Howardzinn.org)
Because that’s here, that’s happening right now.
Because that’s here, that’s happening right now.
Because that’s here, that’s happening right now.
Over and over and over.
Sometimes I *should myself for experiencing the overwhelm exactly as they designed it. Wishing that knowing the strategy could possibly make me less vulnerable to the strategy. It's beyond that.
It's somehow worse than I expected and also precisely what I expected. This mind of mine both skilled in the worst-case-scenario concocting and honed to notice patterns in behavior, in the environment. The pattern is clear and it's devastating.
I have zero answers, so I write. This piece is just the ✨ from the universe to actually send you something I've been working on. TODAY! Great, fire lit under my own bum. Go time. ❤️🔥
Mesa,
This isn’t just about frustration; it’s about survival. The silence from those in power isn’t necessarily inaction—it’s strategy. I trust the source who told me that some influential Democrats *are* working behind the scenes, deliberately avoiding attention. Not because they don’t care, but because they understand what happens to those who stand out too soon.
This regime operates through intimidation. The pressure on Congress isn’t just political—it’s personal. My guess? Every senator and representative has received death threats, not just against themselves, but against their families, their staff, anyone in their orbit. The enforcers of this regime—ultra-right MAGA, the January 6 loyalists—aren’t just loud, they’re dangerous.
If there’s an effort to build a counterforce, it has to be *airtight*. They have to learn from history—why past resistance efforts failed, why half-measures only made things worse. Look at Stauffenberg. Look at every failed coup against an authoritarian leader. The lesson is clear: if they move too soon, if they aren’t fully prepared, it won’t just fail—it will tighten the noose.
That’s why they’re walking on eggshells. That’s why the difference between what’s said in public and what’s happening in back rooms is so stark. Public statements are theater. The real fight is happening in shadows, where it has the best chance of succeeding.
I dissent too. And dissent, if it’s going to mean anything, has to be more than just resistance—it has to be smart, it has to outsmart them.
